Proficiency in Crisis Management and Human Behavior Course

When you’re working on a ship out at sea, there will be a time where you have to manage a large group of people during an emergency, no matter what type of vessel you work on. Controlling where a group of people goes doesn’t come naturally. It takes proper training and a bit of experience. That’s what our Crowd Management Training is designed to do.

Crew members who get their crisis management certification are those who are likely to handle specific duties on a passenger ship. Some role examples that are required to hold the crowd and crisis management certificate on passenger ships include the chief mates, masters, chief engineer officers, second engineer officers, able seafarers, qualified electro/deck/engineering officers and any other others whose job abroad the ship entails them being responsible for the safety of the passengers on board.

This course runs over a full day where you’ll get a mixture of discussion, group exercises, and lectures that will enhance your learning. During each of the information packed sessions, you’re going to get the practical knowledge as well as the theory from our instructors so that you know what’s needed to plan and control a group during a crisis.

After the course, you will have to pass a short exam to get your crowd management certificate and know all that you need to know to handle a crisis. The main thing that you will learn during this course is to create a plan to manage all kinds of situations so that you’re ensuring the safety of the passengers on board the ship as well as your fellow crew members.
