How it’s different to the full STCW 2010 Course

As long as you have completed the full course and hold valid certification, you are able to take part in this abbreviated version of our STCW 2010 Course that’s designed to polish your skills and get them in line with any recent updates to best practices for safety and security of everyone onboard.

The refresher course runs for 1 1/2 days, which is considerably faster than the full 5 1/2 day training session

You can rest assured that, in taking this course, you are fulfilling your requirement to keep your safety knowledge up to date. The Refresher Course is specifically designed to meet all of the requirements listed of the STCW familiarisation and basic safety training update in accordance with section A-VI/1 of the STCW code.

As the Maritime Education Services is accredited by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, or the MCA, of the Department of Transport of the United Kingdom to issue MCA Certificates, you can rest assured that this is the course that will fulfill all of your requirements.

With expert instructors and a speedy course, our main goal is to cover the important points of safety so you can ensure that you are doing everything properly while on board, and are practicing methods that keep safety in mind, and then get you back to doing what you do best as quickly as possible.
